Boss and they thought that not only might she be paralyzed but she would never work again get yourself prepared for this kind of thing because it isn’t like you’re trying to channel Alexander Hamilton your guy sat around so you know you not following their we’ve been very fortunate because they have been so I in no sense guiding force is fresh from the very beginning on the day could be very easy for them to sign the checks and show up for the photos you now but they were there during the rehearsals they get where they’re from 10 to 10 there from 10 to 10 and they would be very high in tune with the details and they wanted the authenticity and it’s their lives you know so presents just it’s a responsibility factor where this is their legacy and we get to kind of perpetuate batter further that and there are some people who might come to show don’t know about the accident they don’t member because their kids or because they just don’t happen to remember certain details are what they went through they don’t know that you know that they are Cuban exiles and all that and for me there’s a huge sense of pride because I’m a daughter of the exile my mother’s given so you know I in the pride that I get Ivan and that we all get I think that we share when when we get to single value in it which is free Cuba you know that’s pretty intense to be on Broadway at a real Broadway theater at this point in history as you mentioned earlier on and to say those words that’s very powerful you know because all of us up there were not taking it and he’s breaking and Cuban Salvadoran we have Dominicans we have in silence we have and you know this whole range of of that. He literally Cuban immigrants into one of our cast members got here when he was 11 years old which is the same age that Emilio got his country so as you know there are so many parallels that it’s hard for it not to run the press and that passion and to really be grounded so exciting that that helps you’ll us as well and helps bring that that realness to the story and the story and what people may forget is if the funds no one want to play their music outside of the Latin community and in those days you really had a knock on every delegate radio stations Wyatt and people can think of your to your chest to Spanish and you have a scene when a record exec sort of I don’t remember the exact language looks at you and says no you know you’re in your engine and now change your name your to Spanish were not to deal with that and something that is what you do not recommend executive in Belize or we all love his or her honorary Latino he said’s book if you want crossover as the percussion changer so change your name something along those lines and we get to let them have a little bit and said I could to get his face and explained to him you know that when I got to Miami there was discrimination against us then and but now I’ve worked here for 15 years of paid my taxes and also this is my home and this is what America looks like it is very it’s a very special moment for me every day I love that I get to be on stage with her during it because she is my rock on that stage you know you’re talking about the dancing this is a small part she won’t answer it she she answered forever she wanted to be just too humble but it is up to see her like she’s a woman of their social woman appearing and she works she works her behind off to be ready for our cast every day to be a rock there to be a leader no one comes that scene is beautiful because you said I’ve had my own expenses in this business for something Sonja wasn’t the right thing wasn’t loud enough and that always hurt my feelings in our economy and for part of talk better now but as my father came here with nothing but mother came here with nothing and they worked there behind off to get me here to go to New York University to study to be in New York to give me the opportunities that I have slippery dates of your message I get to look at somebody and some of this America looks like in it and I can hear the audience can fuel the audience finally feel like they can correct their arms around something they can finally feel like they’re seeing themselves on stage I never saw myself in social nights and nights was my show Lin Manuel Miranda was my God because I was the first time I went to the theater and start to see myself on stage and believe that I could do this you know so that’s the moment for me I love that woman every day in order I try to play as honestly as possible symptoms were screaming around my chest and the sodas them up there with my girl would let him have a little bit let them know that were here to stay fascinating as well because the stuff you know the story and that’s pretty much halfway through Act I on that scene that were talking about – and Gloria meets Emilio and you know everyone around her is always smitten then you know and it is written in a very clever way to make her fall in love with him but I never let it happen until that scene so the whole showing kind of fighting and always you know being very like I had last sassy attitude with him and I’m just saying hello are you correct that life imitates art and vice versa but by email and and that scene when he’s actually defending us I that way and defending our people and not that’s the moment where her guard comes down and it’s a beautiful transition because then he goes into the real beginning of the love story and I and it’s just absolutely perfect and Brilliant Way, Alex orchestrated that for me selfishly because I get to have that moment where I see him become his hero to me and then I and then we kiss and so that’s just a perfect way to is the perfect way to to to her heart and into the characters heart and I love that about the story and it’s still a love story and it’s been telling people like dancing in the aisle that he can’t resist on your feet at the Marquis Theatre right in the neighborhood on the via Vania and Josh Segarra go see the show I think I know I have started to Go right thing to do but are you really spiritual that I read that you put this big nature tree on your wall yeah yes in yeah I really just I I’m a huge fan of Wayne Dyer and started reading his works and staff in 2012 one there was about three different Broadway shows I was involved with one of which was Rebecca if we remember our are long gone you that did not come to Broadway and he is the man who first ever introduce the idea that he says we are not what we do we are not what we have and we are not what other people think of us all three of those things I was like oh but as a performer I thought I am what I do and I am what I have and what other people think of me and so 2012 is a big soul-searching year for me where I was like shedding that ego self and just coming back to like I did what I was saying about the kisses reminding me why do this and it has nothing to do with what the earthly self assaying self yet in my apartment now I just have I have my ego wall that reminds me all my posters and things that remind me of things like that and then I come into the rest of my apartment have a tree on the wall to remind me as a rooted and grounded in yeah I’ll sit in the park probably no matter how cold it is on opening night before I go to will yeah I have to connect with nature all answers are in nature of that’s good you grew up in the shoe I am I am a child of hippies my sisters names are Sommer and Allegra I mean that they do so and I’m from Colorado so you put it and is the sister and after to my older sister Sommer is a musician she’s a chalice she plays a she said Don found them but we haven’t had our own show where she gets her orchestra and me on up on stage so that’s our initial release really suit a chalice right why is not quite the show suit your mom yes she’s coming bears the amount of times Michelle and I said to his pants were there last night and I said is this your third time they really like the look in the is like a Thursday doing nothing and that Alex did you know we all know just like it would you like play this he was at his chubby son I usually don’t need to channel Jack what events you are ready Jeff to gain weight identifies Ruby was from self impose a bit because we were doing the run to theater off-Broadway earlier this year and am I started losing a lot of weight during the show was on stage for the entire time save for the two moment that come offstage about eight minutes meet herself and him so I asked is him as the game away so you’ll lose it by the time we open and last game 35 pounds the role and I lost it I lost 20 last two weeks to the show, take it all out and I’m still trying to figure out what to eat and everything does it way too much for the shows are thrown up all my and is the only show advanced medicine.com that’s my advanced medicine.com way backstage with Broadway’s best behind the curtain with Joan Amber on 77 WA BC where doing your comes sauce this is a very interesting theater season and there is a play that is really particularly time and fascinating to see it’s called elite and some of you have seen and I know you’ve heard about it George decay whom you know from Star Trek who is a really interesting a writer and activist charge is did you celebrate your birthday yet you are April 20 dismount it and he’s now a Broadway baby yes, did you John you had 78 I’m making my Broadway debut never to let you know him as a similar and were going to let you hear all of it to and Katie Rose Clark plays a nurse in this story of one of the really terrible examples of what went on in America during World War II when they rounded out Japanese Americans and put them in camps and when we hear and were not a political show at all but what we hear of what some of our candidates are talking about today rounding people up put them behind barbed wire you guys have to see allegiance and understand the irreparable damage and harm that this state so George this is based a lot of it on your story will I grew up in the to those that internment camps one in the slums of Arkansas and the other in the cold when wind swept to third place in Northern California and it’s based on my memory but it’s actually more my parents experience that we were talking about but always like the real donor we talk about internment camps and imprisonment of part of what made the survival possible was a Japanese word called, which means to do with dignity to have the fortitude and the love of resilience and a part of that resilience is the strength to find joy and happiness with only those harsh circumstances and that’s why it’s a musical we have dance numbers which are faithful to the Lord allegories yes love stories in fact case is my girlfriends and I when I was younger I George plays two roles this is so he plays the revered grandfather who in the middle of the darkness makes things grow and he is full of by everyone and then your older child and I’m also the older version of the 80-year-old version of someone who falls in love with her behind those barbed wire fences a Japanese-American and a white nurse from Omaha Nebraska heard that there’s a beautiful and touching and moving love story and I am the 1480-year-old veteran of fell in love with her and I still love I have one scene with as the grandfather and I love that seed that is my favorite see George was a term when your parents farm is whether they really was that what they didn’t know we were sitting in the setting of both my other grandparents my mother’s of parents were farmers in the Sacramento Delta and my grandfather characters pretty much patterned after my mother’s uncle who was out of a farmer but also wonderfully warm and charming and loving and so well I’m a kind of love battery my character after my mother’s uncle and of course your character the nurse can really help anyone in the camp they get sick they have horrible coughs they have all kinds of issues and get you can’t do the medicine because it is in for the people who were in turn right and there’s actually in there was an issue of getting supplies as well so there was there is a as she had double whammy after her she had very much has her hand tight hands tied was in the beginning of the the internment camps as I believe historically it means strictly accurate and I as as time goes on day they do they did receive more supplies and in fact listed help from the internees as well and there are very few nurses her camp at three or maybe three or four may be per camp which now has thousand six deal with it yet but you know an amazing story about allegiance is and how it actually came to be and is the strangest coincidence and the time when we’re talking about all these issues even though we don’t want to believe were talking about explain George what happened and how this play became a Broadway play will see the bleachers was found in in the Heights limit of Manuel Mitterrand is the Tony award-winning musical of my husband and I go to the theater regularly and so sometimes the every night of the week and we happen to a group of good to see you in the Heights and the resolve of two friends in the same role but because sees Roger by we just waved at them and we sat down and those of you known in the Heights that’s about the buried community and their struggle of the Washington Heights there is a beautiful daughter very smart daughter who wants to go to college and the father loves her dearly and wants to help her go to college but economic circumstances they make it very difficult for and so he has this moving Arkansas in Eugene which means useless it feels useless and I struck a chord in me I thought of my father when I was a teenager explaining to me are a democracy and I was an idealistic young teenager and the idealistic young teenagers can be very Eric and I go to one of daddy new lettuce line slaughter into the internment And suddenly the conversation stopped he was signed and I knew immediately I had it under this man suffered so much when I was a child and anguish to and survived and then struggled to get back on our feet and to give me an education I heard him and I felt to that silencing to go as I was in to go on forever and then he said he well George maybe you’re right and he got up and walked into his bedroom and closed the I felt terribly I wanted to knock on the door and apologize for the closed the door so I thought well I’ll apologize tomorrow morning and tomorrow morning came and it was off and I never did apologize to and then sold it due to reminded me of that conversation and during the course of generation comes immediately following like to place your life and my two friends came with a to say hello to say hello and chitchat during the intermission and saw me wiping my tears away and that’s when I told him about that and one of them happened to be Jake will our composer lyricist and the other guy was Lorenzo Jill they are producer and cowriter and that’s how allegiance was born in a Broadway theater so someone else’s shall see someone else is very moving show well this is an incredibly moving show wonderfully done and it’s like a wake-up call and it’s also fascinating because of through the eyes of children in this play be brought up in a camp is like normal it’s the abnormality of and it’s really the story of a. America that a lot of people like to brush under the carpet but you guys do a wonderful job congratulation thanks you were so grateful that you came over to see yesterday I saw her say to everyone on don’t have for sardines and for WA DC current work backstage with Broadway’s best behind the curtain with John Amber on 77 WA DC where doing your homes sauce one of these huge heads of the Broadway season so far straight from London is King Charles III and our guest today Charles himself Tim Pigott Samantha and William Oliver Chris and I want you if you haven’t seen it in to imagine a time when the Queen has passed on and her son Charles who has been waiting a really long time is now the King none the worse for wear in fact what they say in this play Charles is why a lingering for the from and the play is written blank first but don’t I wasn’t going to tell you that because it don’t let it scare you it’s just amazing the rhythm of the play takes you from the very second and Tim a very famous British actor stage television effect I saw him as Dr. Watson in Sherlock Holmes here is in the Iceman, does London and Broadway and the same thing Oliver worked like crazy he’s actor a TV coast so let’s start with your part I Charles Charles you’re looking absolutely nothing like Charles what you were so Charles see that I was taken up we decided quarterly Oma briefly impersonated our cards is the play would die very quickly so we derived from the result is that by the end people start seeing real before they start imposing them on tomorrow’s a number of papers on the stage door and set it up so like images are don’t tool but I do want to hold tricks of impersonation occasionally he had to do something with her signet ring on his coughs and he also has aware of pulling his milestones with speaking units are very existence about that sort of sums about some brings him up you know if you would if you live in a perspective is the centripetal budget your Charles and of course you know you when we see and hear and even those of you who have seen it London you think how could they do this in London where the Royals are sort of around the corner but your Charles decides to defend freedom of press it’s about a pending bill in front of Parliament and if you recall the phone hacking scandals in London will this is the reason that Charles decides that he’s not gonna do the usual royal thing of just sign and get on with your royal duties he’s going to last. Makes it such a brilliant play rated because some to attack the brush because he’s been certified in the sense of job taunts through the whole of the diner observed you know the press were pounding so it’s just a brilliant crew in a surprise and it turns Charles into amount of principal who has a pretty torrid time expected to fall for the parts but he still might become suitable here are to bring up a writer it is and also William and Katie’s a little bit of lady make bath in your bride right she’s very ambitious for her husband he’s torn yet the arcade of limos was doing and I think she just I think the Queen has been ruling for so long for 70 years she’s bridged a period of change in in the world to the United Kingdom is a different world now that she is leaving in the world that she that she came into I think he represents this Manuel that I think that she is just really trying to propel the monarchy into into a new brighter more corporate more more Morton Street on Asian enamel circulating connotation where that much more of a kind of a classic constitutional figurehead and that they can use the press they can use date they use the men looks to to fulfill the needs of the nation the nation all six of them on the Charles trying to interfere in politics is is passé installments there’s no place for dinner but your the good son but you you’re caught in the middle and the audience is thinking could this really be William and Kate is this really about family obligations is he going to come to his father’s defense when I can tell whether you do or not but is the reality that the world has to hear about using civilizing the phone from Williams one of you son in this place is the from Sony for the majority of the play Williams is very clear his duties Charles is the line that you know we are we as a family Charles and William we ought every some crowned and you can’t make a distinction between the person on the position and William understands that very strongly and start a sense of duty to uphold the family and the Montague’s position but then Charles pushes his point of principle to a place where the country is in serious crisis on this medical appointment Williams go to do something and believe me he he does something right but don’t tell anyone because it is about if it’s shocking and away because of the way Americans love the Monica they love it more than you guys have done wonders for think it’s because it’s just because it’s so old in the play I say at one point concerning the lost 500 years to democracy in the process I can say that without any authority because in England is true that with 1500 use of Kings before we had all of you know I think it’s about six just represents that very very distant calls but to does the British community view this is very controversial friends who are in the theater say that the Royals sent spies to trade the audio really are is that just like one of our page 6 New York is a controversial place there is no doubt about that it’s extraordinarily mischievous and it’s extremely controversial when one of the things we haven’t said as it sounds you are applying for secondary references is very funny. But it’s really it’s really a vigilant incident begins begins extraordinarily fondly on it as it is it begins to dissolve in to try to do nothing you been opened up both God by seeing these familiar people that you that you do you know renewal of cultural consciousness and then when you when you watch things dissolve I think it’s extraordinarily it comes extraordinarily moving towards you know and we love seeing these characters we love seeing your life like a tigress defending her man out and she’s very funny that he isn’t meant to be but she is really a check of the market is large for an apartment and send him an offer is for instance but I loved all the dimensions of Charles because even though he’s been there so long it’s sort of like wallpaper you know you don’t really separates him out he’s a very intelligent PSR are partly to spend the most success of Mears learning Arabic because he feels there’s a change in the balance of power in the world and we need to be able to talk to a different part of the world in the language is intelligent is a good linguist he saved figurative drawing in England as he might’ve stomps about it him I don’t like the idea of being and Sharon King for her to do it and it makes his people all the information but I like the idea that he would be a voice of the table you have to do what he said but listen to music and he thinks about it because the subunits of allotment Tony Blair is going to raise the above are local to capital is the logic to chosen to stay in his book as it does. He was asked about his laser is that it’s one of those places you come and see you enjoy it for what it is you get involved in the family drama but then you got another call to the loft was and you are in a furious debate with everybody about the rights and wrongs of the state of the nation of) in England we traded for less than a mile from the palace in the West End on the back time is a frisson which was in areas will the first thing was how lucky we were to be in a country where we were able to display a mile from the palace inside remarkable but unremarkable to that a king is a king and they’re very happy to have a king if it’s just a game if he’s a figure looks God does waves and does nice things but if the king has an opinion that’s not so good but yet you get the feeling that that would not be William and Kate’s fate job we spends as a country we spent 500 is carving out monarchy into the position that we need them I think I’m on the huge royalist now having done the stones with | little from the full bodies in the shoulder working on it for so long I thought about it a lot and I think that we have we have scoped the majority beautiful perfect figurehead for our nation needs and if they try and step outside of the mold and the guy get logged off amendments is the was going what you think of William and Kate’s early in the play and possibly in real life really understand that you have a position in a Judy to the countryside and but now that you played this and it’s really so dimensional and filled out if one day the Queen steps down under and she will never suggest or she believes quite simply that she is God’s anointed representative on the shows so well application is only happened once in the history of the British monarchy of the royal family calling me a word (ready to but with the entire mummification agreement to tape she would’ve abdicated already that means that Charles could be in his 80s by the time he becomes. So this play has a lot more truth when I was Susan’s mother is making a possible but is definitely poseable that we would send him to the 18-year-old generation job is again is another great is another great question is that it is right should Charles the Poseidon and should he allow the younger generation to come in younger generation will understand perhaps the world a little better than them but he does the Manuel maybe they should step in and he should step aside whether he will my thing is hugely unlikely and you much waiting ideas or something a ghastly drywall that you do it right over 80 years is really a lot and again what the public wants to start at 80-year-old King whatever it is you’ve got to go see King Charles III and then you’ll do like all of us to argue with aimlessly over dinner we still talk about it and we still think how did these people do this in London but they did and they did it well it’s one of the best things on Broadway today King Charles III and I suggest you try to hunt ticket yet I suggest you go over the music box theater right here on W. 41st St. and try to get yourself and tell us charge also has a color charge.com thank you so much that you will share inside a mobility in Hamburg enjoy the day happy holidays so you where your comes to talk: 77 your allegiance to one family I might dental license claims them as supporters. line is and she takes off one hospital gown and she takes off another hospital gown and then she is naked and beautiful in the light and I close the script and I was weeping and I went she is white and beautiful in the light wait a minute I said I don’t think I can do it and then you had an agent of the time and she said to me don’t worry that will get you in a nude bodysuit but in the contract that you have to do it on you know not being on stage for 22 years and getting that script to come back to shaving my head and then they wouldn’t let me do it in New York unless I had done and that I was willing to do mentor afterwards so I was naked and bald for almost a year all over the country thank God it wasn’t in Europe to put just here in the country how is your social life during I am a wonderful husband thank you for being on the extraordinary and he said I like you better with hair and felt but but done the thing about it there was that there was a story that was written connected to it I had been when I finished who’s the boss and I had tried doing these other pilots and nothing was really working in terms of the mighty mighty television stuff and on my agent heard him might my manager of 35 years her pants are said to me he said you’ve got to change her image he said people don’t know that you started in the theater that you’ve been in repertory theater that you’ve done all of these different things he said they they don’t know this but you have to change the way you relating to this and so I was offered to audition for this play by the wonderful Jonathan Collins who wrote buyer and seller and was called if memory serves and it was about an aging sitcom star okay enough said I think Herb this isn’t right for me he said it’s perfect for you I said you know nothing so anyway he said you’re terrified and I went away to this ladies yoga camp I was a yoga and I was meditating and I listened to him in my head and I said you know what he’s right I’m I’m terrified so I called them from the ladies camp in Mexico and I said New Mexico when I said I’ll go in for he said too bad party cast it off you lost so I said you know what I want to live like this anymore and I have been doing a lot of work in for HIV and AIDS and in terms of civil rights for the LGBT Q community and I was doing a lot of speaking is talking about how much the the community inspired me and how courageous the community was and is and how I talk my I took heart from the way that they were all operating at that particular time when the government was giving nothing and creating all these incredible organizations and I said I’m talking about it and telling them how much they inspire me but I’m not living it and I said to her than his partner Jonathan who also manages me I said you know what the next thing that I am offered to go in for to audition for I’m going to go and God bless Bernie tell C and Darrell Roth they thought I should come in and audition for wit and I thought to myself and my secret heart of hearts they’re never going to get this to me this is never going to happen and then you they did and I had to make the decision if I was to go back and be naked and bald and also face the that the critics at the New York critics after 22 years and so I said I don’t want to be on my deathbed and look back and say why didn’t I do this why wasn’t I courageous why was my brave why did I leave that way instead of the way that I know I should be living in you and I went back and I did it and it changed everything for me was just a complete transformation then people in the theater community kept welcoming me with open arms they were wonderful and I coming back and doing other shows and you know and then I I did another play Lombardi and then I did another tray hot samurai other desert cities and and I did the assembled parties now the Senate and so it was really the beginning of the turnaround I have a huge television success to the flight and you can see Judith your matinee today I do not have an edge Wednesday is Wednesday and I you can proceed to raise when with Dragon and that I can at studio 54 which is right in the neighborhood yes I can get City’s art scene is exploding and more cool shops and restaurants are opening every day so now is when your company should move to Harborside in Jersey City Harborside has six different on-site transportation options make it for now place to visit Harborside to see.com and see all the Harborside and Jersey City have to offer I left a check of the art galleries that are popping up all over Jersey City and seeing the murals painted around town there’s also the manic contemporary art center with a huge space where they show local and international artists efficient and complaining to know that artists are actually creating our right contemporary it’s the right place it’s the right time Harborside be here now the backstage with Broadway’s best behind the curtain with Joan Hamburg on 70 7W ABC when doing your homes to draw welcome everyone to sardines as you know we celebrate theater and we love theater and it must show that has become the biggest in this town for months and months and more months to get tickets and if you set any of us here you are going to do everything to try to get a ticket to a show that some people say it’s you would say you’re crazy but imagine if you’re an actor and actress and you land a part in Hamilton you might’ve thought if you are asked about an audition who’s going to want to see a show about a guy who hasn’t been here in years and who met his untimely end in a dual well lucky for René Elise Goldsberry and for Leslie Odom Junior thereto with the stars of the most extraordinary I love all theater is something about this show that is so magical I can’t even begin to explain through hip-hop through songs it follows founding father Alexander Hamilton from when he was in often in the Caribbean not an auspicious beginning is we see him through the American Revolution to his death in a dual and what’s so interesting as all the founding fathers with these white was like white bread and this cast is totally unbelievable it’s every color from everywhere and the least you and I have talked before René Elise and it’s shared the experience and you’ve done a lot of theater from when you can practically the lion King now you have your own kids but this is something I color purple this is something unique that only a special thank you so much for having us such a joy to be here at 30s I don’t spend enough time hereafter, how could she this is a dream come true it’s one of those things that you don’t know to ask for and yet we do always ask for an eye I feel like I often say the clichés that we say about why we want to become an artist things that were to do the impact it can have on the world I I used to think they’re just things that we say but really we just wanna perform but in this instance I feel blessed with an opportunity to actually do those things you mention my children and I’m in a show I was in a lanky before I had children and I thought I probably never be in a show again that my kids would enjoy and remarkably have a six-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter and they love to show they love this music and huge at pick up on so it’s out one of the most special things is that you know we have what that which we talk about diversity and the audience of Hamilton’s is the diversity that the most exciting to me from to tear right behind her into having yet met anyone that wasn’t moved and and drawn in by the story and the music really and special and you play a very interesting woman at a time when feminism you know we didn’t even know what that word was Angelica Schuyler and she’s one of the sisters very smart sister who actually when she meets Hamilton her little heart starts beating but she’s the oldest child and she has to marry well to keep the family afloat so you give Hamilton to your little sister and Eliza very magnanimous so well it’s written have so that when met what let this a good time probably to celebrate Lin Manuel Miranda who is the reason why I would imagine Leslie and I both knew even though the pitch seemed the pitch seemed I thought she and the pitchman when I reread the audition email I thought there’s no am getting this job and think it was honest and think I would ever get cast in it which is why you always show up regardless of what you think is going to happen but when when when lens on name was attached in the creative team from in the heights I knew it was gonna be something great as I remember how I felt when I signed the heights the yet but Angelica Schuyler I credit the the decision to really try to develop the females in the story with that Ron oversaw the women themselves they were remarkable also run sure now that biographer who is really interested in relationships so we didn’t spend as much time on dates and and and places that the battles were and really and was really invested in the women of the show which was hugely important and that inspired Lynn who also has a lot of wonderful women in his life and is a great drama turned and knew how important it was at that there needed to be a triangle other than outside of this one relationship that Leslie will talk about between Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton he knew that that he had to develop women because women look many women are here today women go to the theater and even men we love to this is this is the stuff that makes the founding fathers sexy to ask you or not they were pretty sick as they were sexy and I think that’s what the prizing in the way retell the story but the hard part Leslie Odom Junior who is the was the youngest actor ever cast in the rent and has done a like you’ve seen them on smash on TV a lot of shows but Leslie you and you know women into generalization but it’s true we need to be like you know where we not good it feeling people don’t like us your playing Aron bar what a son of a gun the sky was smart educated is that kept thinking that has to really be hard because we’re not booing and hissing but with thinking change history before the curtain comes the known income you know when tragedies are are told well enough so this before when you see really great production of Romeo and Juliet you kind of hope that it’s good and differently we put on our favorite your favorite movies we watch them again and again and we hope this time she’s not gonna die you know this is where things we do but some as far as being like I am you know bring as much of the truth of my own experience to the show were not I wasn’t necessarily you know the most liked child in the world you know of growing up you know being in theater and stuff like that to you but what I’ve learned as I got older as you know the the character that you develop, being out in the cold like that and so am I find that even on stage you know if I can just wait if I can just sort of hold my ground and presents to you guys YM and present my heart to you eventually even if I’m not like I’m a danger respect or I’ll get your understanding in some way and so that’s more valuable to me than being like without question and yet I sensed during the performance I know it’s probably just me but that you cared about your kids your children that there was another dimension you that was running through all of this so even though Aron bar historically is a hard character close look what he did he altered history still felt that you could be rehabilitated I like to to allow something in that year I will ask you know what you would men really wanted to do was to present all complicated fleshed out human beings and so like any of us you know you you a lot of times, speaking to a lawyer friend of mine and she said she’s often times talking to people who are being judged by the worst act on their worst day and so any of us you know you look at us the worst thing we’ve ever known them on on our worst day any of us could be judged as a villain but it’s about looking at the totality of somebody’s life and how they were with their children and the baby met their wife for the husband you know what all heroes and villains on different days in a and I thought it was interesting I think I read this that you said it isn’t necessarily display Hamilton about 1776 it’s about the year 2015 it has to be in command and in a couple weeks about to be about 2060 the last immediately that it has to be about us right now on that’s the only reason to keep telling story and as when you have something that’s a well-crafted like this so is it can really withstand on you know that this sold the tenor of the show will feel different during the election time for the tenor of the show feels different after the Paris attacks right you are everything am everything is relevant and everyone is relevant in terms of telling the story when you purchase the way I have the great honor of watching him every night and I’m idea nice I have to answer that question as well because he’s extremely likable and it’s in its eight he’s not trying to be likable he’s just being human but but that he as he accesses every part of who he is you know you find yourself rooting for Burr on that’s his job his job is to do that because he is because he’s going for you he’s he’s trying to achieve a goal that is lofty even if it even if it ends said that’s really beautiful since it’s a wonderful thing to watch and am playing playing a woman that doesn’t look like me at all is is something that never crosses my mind my own initially when you were auditioning it didn’t on what the reason why I was hesitant to go to the addition was because of the breakdown said Nikki ménage know how many of you know the rapid economic and meets Desiree Armstrong and arms out there does your arms out from a Little night music the character my music and III just like to do desperate I didn’t feel I didn’t know that I could embody Nick’s but I went because you know I heard that I had a demo of the music and I couldn’t stay away I would kill myself if if I didn’t try but yes to my father her that I got cast as Angelica Schuyler and then he reads you know she was of any research and he called me back and he’s like how are you playing Angelica Schuyler and I’m I think I’m when we do it Leslie said which is just access all of who we are and even all of who we are that day for that moment we have a very significant part of a story to tell that’s real and and and and matters and and reaches out to everybody which is which is the joy of being an actor and I read after the show open someone was describing you are talking to Renée Elyse Goldsberry who plays Angelica Schuyler who is the one of the three sisters the intellectual sister who has a big relationship with Hamilton through letters and Leslie Odom Junior who were on we know his part is Aron bar but are somewhat had said think of the Schuyler sisters as the Kardashian’s mom that time which I thought was written an analogy and actually really wonderful and you know I out I take that and there’s there’s fun and that they are having a great time human well and they are definitely having a guard at Philippa Sue and Jasmine Cephas Jones play my ancestors and we definitely are having that kind of fun I also did say I’m we had the pleasure of having obsession Melia Obama come to the show first daughter CS the first daughters and anytime there any sisters in the house I’m because because I think one of the beauties of the story is that the dilemma for care that I’m really playing is the love affair between my me and my sister and women don’t often get to play that it’s at simply only that the want of the man the man typically is is trying to you know climb a mountain and the woman is trying to get the mass and the beauty and the story is that this woman sexy trying to climb a mountain and she’s trying to love her sister and that’s empowering and I think that’s what our story really is and so when Sasha Melia were there even when my nieces are there or when Chelsea Clinton was there unit or any of you combats what’s the most exciting to me just to really show to Chelsea Clinton said when I met her thank you for reminding us women’s role in history which I don’t think we get him to hear enough especially when we go back that far back in time no what you guys are going to have to visit again because I like have pages of things I want to ask and you know it’s interesting when you see the show and you’ve got a get a ticket out of here when you get over the box office later and just wait a little bit and get a ticket but it’s it will change the way that you really think of things and when I got home I ran to the computer and so they pulled up each and every character because it wasn’t enough I wanted to I do want to leave them in the theater so I and that’s experience that everyone has when they come out of thanks to all of you for giving us a little bit of magic and a special place in history Hamilton and you can go see the show with the Richard Rodgers Theatre on W. 46th St. right so go over try to get a ticket congratulations I heard you gave up a big TV gig possibly to go take this part and I’m sure your parents and everyone else at bad boy and I said about all the best thank you and you so I got on the school of rock Charles III with just getting rolling this is Sardi’s for WAP problems but you know you want modern podiatry you are treated why not choose the best call 855 Dr. urology or visit them online@experturologycare.com about the very neurotic standard poodle so when I went to see Sylvia with Matthew Broderick and Annalee Ashford I laughed I can even tell you how hard but I wasn’t alone the whole house was literally the woman next to me you know is that my old uncle Harry was constantly hitting me on my arm because she was gasping she was laughing so hard you guys have to see the show it’s running through December and it’s going to make you really feel good and not like you’re a jerk because you like your dog better than most people Matthew Broderick plays this midlife crisis guy who finds a dog in the park and he brings it home and he and his wife have moved to the city the kids are gone and there I have this great city life and into this life he brings this whatever lab a doodle some large dog and of course his wife was horrified Annalee Ashford is the dog she is Sylvia she is the best dog you have is all I want to bring horrible and you know I don’t so tell me guys you know it’s a gurney play and no one’s funnier than this guy but to take the part of the dog did you have any hesitation I know I have to tell you a secret dream of mine is as an actor to play anything but human so you know in our world of television that that usually would mean like a vampire is on the Excel I was so happy that I got the opportunity to play a nonhuman in this instance the dog and don’t forget that we talking to Annalee who was in you can’t take it with you masters of sex on TV which is a very big departure from my Sylvia the dog yes I played that he had the sassy lesbian former prostitute turned secretary I’ve had quite a journey for I have from guard to breath prostitutes in August that doesn’t happen very often but it’s a great actually kind of the great exploration of the change and in women’s rights from 1956 to 1966 and there was opportunity to push to get to you that he is a feisty no-nonsense lady from Chicago and an Sylvia is that it is a dog and Matthew Matthew is perfect in this play because we all know you know we women we always have midlife crisis by right I mean where born with a midlife crisis but we reinvent ourselves but here you are your having a crisis you have a good job but you don’t really know who you are you have this right and you’re so good at this role and when you bring home so you sort of forget she’s a person you know what she’s just she’s on oversize dog who needs a good grooming and she guesses against grooms in the third scene I have is that they bring her home and she’s all groomed resident was amazing yeah I think really all we do is change her outfit and comb her hair with a duty to have a really fast break/lasting change is very dramatic and very quick and had a change that clicks the Planck length and wicked at the top you which was a different thing but when you have to do a proper value you infect your wife was in the originals Hillary arrived I think I remember seeing her downtown yeah yeah at the Manhattan theater club and was in this based on your dog your kids called QC will our dog now is culturally but the dog that Sarah was basing it was on and Sally is my first dog she was a border collie and a lot of Sally’s characteristics went into Sarah’s performance and probably into the place soon way were reviving my dear Sally by reviving the show and it probably made you reattach yourself to the new dog you sort of being annoyed that you have to walk it will have to rely him about halfway between I love cause my mom annoyed by the I told my daughter she knows I said I really like you just you know it mixed about you I told that I visit because of all the work yeah you know they the needs the need to even walk and things like that but but I am not love does it always always like always loved oxygen is limited and even have now we have a cat a cat and a dog which is a lot there is a great and animal behavior Ellen who read this incredible book called the other end of the leash name is Patricia O’Connell Patricia O’Connell and that she says in her book that as a dog lover she has and I think five dogs and she works at dog Shealy says there’s always one great love of your life you know just like he thought we had a great lasso and Matthew talk about his family well Sally with his greater love has gone a true that that I haven’t told Jesse that she doesn’t need to know I got to let you know when you see Sylvia you don’t look at your dog the same way I have to tell you now because now I know that my dog is really annoyed at me a lot you know doesn’t get it and she rolls over so I can scratch your stomach like give me a break but you feel like you want to do that you have absolutely no add-ons are giving us messages all the time are not actually my dog is a six-year-old Australian Shepherd and we did a lot of training in preparation for the route we took obedience and agility we also took sheep herding is not strange but she was great she passed me away Galilean dollars for something and you could train or spell we could do it except we did have to put her she is that she has a back issue that we discovered yesterday that she pulled her back out they told us that she is getting older sister she can’t rollover any war of ironic that she will be able to put them on thread this week to do a rehab report in this role over a note in my entire rollover is based off of Gracie’s rollovers I sent him home and watch it has a lot of rollovers yeah and a lot of making sure her territory yet is really hers so was just reading a book or the spokes that got your inner dog ready loving God and I have made sweet crazy one of the last of my life because she really kind of showed me the way she’s all over Sylvia and I haven’t made an incredible time in and are agility and obedience classes you testified that I learned so much from other dogs at one point I had to tell the trainers why I was there because they were kind of confused about my behavior it was all they know that and so when the show it took a lot of work because it really is very physical yet and I’m source I’m sore everywhere and when I say everywhere I mean everywhere my mother to get a laugh in my earlobes are sore and that he himself in the call that I it has been extended to my most challenging roles in my crib and also the most rewarding are having a lovely time and the park are you having fun with that Matthew has job range you why I’m definitely have fun I love the cast and Lee and Julian and Robbie and Angie gurney have always adored his writing so that you know is nice to finally get a chance I did love letters long time ago with you know where you read it but to do a gurney play was always something I wanted to do and she did a beautiful job translating so that only but he also is his translation of dogs is human is quite place wonderful quite extraordinary hero is and he sort of got wide people go through yeah when they’re caught in the middle is very soft he does it in a subtle way that you realize how smart he is with you know and as an actor actors I don’t think go through that middle life crises unless there are actors who don’t work and they have to decide a Michael to keep on doing this yeah but your character you really is a guy caught in the middle and yes it now does he really like his wife does he like his life yeah yeah when he doesn’t like his job is space for your daddy’s been doing it for 20 something years and realizes he just REALLY stand it anymore knowing how much time as you have left to do something that the rewards and that makes him feel good and also my parents I just looked at my brother and sister left for college both of them are both out of the house of Mary empty-nesters in mind my hope is not listening my dad call out going through it and I’ve got another 15 to 20 years left it at the job that he’s working now and I think it was more the impetus of the children leaving and also very high level and there wasn’t anybody left to take care of someone to take care of a dog so wait did he get a dog we have 3-100 and when they came and saw the show my dad was like you know any good doing body you like that buddy up there which is a bit like a big huge bird hunting dog that like flops around like goofy even our math well you know the same thing happened when my kids went off to school my husband went out and got another dog because I had to wear Don yeah you know no more dogs no more kids dissuade a lot of kids coming in and out of the house and ended up with the dog and he actually joined the gym last from the doctor ever let you know he just thought that the gym was a little excessive yeah about the dog and we still have that’s why you know we now have Annabelle who I was going to take to see the how do we teach her a lesson yeah we see dogs in the audience every now and then it’s there in that for me I have it’s like an X essential crisis and filling their judging me the whole time he had not getting kicked out of the audience cracking up the way they do it really valid how elaborate thing is nothing better than the that there is a couple moments in the show that occasionally remind you of that the sensation of the Carol Burnett show Ray everybody’s so joyfully laughing from their spirit right well you make us all happy Sylvia you can see if the court inner life in the neighborhood right of sixth Avenue and you can get tickets and tell a charge or goes right over the box office I promise you it’s going to make you happy thank you guys so much thank you thank you and in coming up and King Charles III stated my pillow is back with an exciting new offer just in time see backstage with Broadway’s best behind the curtain with Joan Amber on 77 WAP see where doing your homes to draw welcome everyone welcome to sardines and we love celebrating the love seeing all of you it’s a great day to be in New York City the store windows are often the tree is going to be left and the restaurants are saying like Sardi’s hello come on in and the theater is so I always like to be happy you know I’m one of those people when I was a kid I’d read books and I read the last page 1st and if it wasn’t good it was such a happy show at the Helen Hayes Theatre right here on 44th St. with John Bolton and married Davey this show was like 1930s movies it was half dancing it was fun and here we have John who’s been both these people in 1 million shows but he placed dual roles he plays the director who is not having an easy time and looking forward to a comeback with his big new show only the problem is that as the show is about to go up the theater is about to go down typical New York a bulldozer landlord could get more rent by just putting up an apartment so and then you meet John who not only plays the director desperate but he plays the ship captain where this play games since he ultimately ends up now matter also who has been in so many shows she plays Joan a chorus girl who’s been around a little bit she’s a great Dancer and sheep are friends the new young stars who are coming so that’s a little bit I hope I didn’t leave anything out guys that you got a great description of this out without giving away the happy ending your not to give it away because many of you have been on cruises and you know you know and many of your bad process with us the way was so seasick I never get seasick by the we did it right a lot of times and in this show something happens the sea is not necessarily find all the actors in its nature right so explain to me how all this happen now I have watched you for years but I never knew you were attempting well you never asked to arrive those items is such a pleasure to get to to tap on Broadway a young time on Broadway and the nodes of respite for it’s a thrill to get to keep up with the amazing Mondavi of the wonderful cast but tomorrow I know that you’ve been tapping since you were a little kid you know three-year-old mommies take you to ballet to tap that exactly right yeah my mom just put me in class because that’s what you do with your first little girl and I fell in love with that I watched Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers all growing up so this whenever whenever I get to do a show in this era it feels like coming home especially a Randy Skinner show I’ve done his 42nd Street Is Way, Christmas no-no and Annette of the eye saying I love his choreography and I love anytime I get to do and you and it’s so happy when I was watching Mara perform and then later I read that she was channeling her in a Joan Blondel and Ginger Rogers know a lot of you may not know Joe Blondel but when I was she was a movies trouble we were kids all yeah she’s she’s got it all she’s got the looks and she has the looks I mean if you see some of the facial expressions she is capable of making shanties giant Lake QB doll eyes and she’s as hilarious and I’d I was not too familiar with Joan before I started work on the show and I’m a huge fan of you well and they did it all but what is interesting is that rarely on Broadway do you see principles like the two of you doing that because usually the principles saying they love they kiss and then outcomes the line now and the line is tapping and throwing themselves around these guys I don’t what a way to lose weight over the eat or drink anything I want to for the road I thought that would be heaven why can’t I tell you a picture and a joy to watch now you grew up in a family with brothers very athletic yes and they still leave elevating going to their doing other things the musicians absolutely were more brother has abandoned the other one but listens to music and appreciates it more but we were deftly musical family and your family how did this happen to you my family is a very artistic family although I was the first one to show an interest in performing on stage so we kind of learn the ropes as we went along that my other sister started out as a performer and she’s a fitness instructor another sister is a video game designer and costume designer and my little brother is going to be a music teacher that we all got the bug in one way or another thing that was course find your first pick shower had you done other things before Corzine was my first Broadway show prior to that I done an international tour 42nd St. and I got my equity card doing Randy’s white Christmas in Boston and then Corzine is my first show here and then I saw you in drowsy chaperone all day which was really of funds shall I love that shell I hear a lot of people I had like that but this one too was there a lot of auditions for this or did you guys just get it they gave me the material history from our server they give me the material the song is on and I went in and we all shook hands and that I don’t call the next day so which they were all that is a headset and then you started so how do you even know there are certain parts that you really have to prepare for we have a lot of shows we have people coming from Hamilton from everything but it’s a different preparation process specially when you’re really physical during the whole show so what kind of preparation do you have to do in your head even to get ready for petitioner for the performance of the actual performance rest differently sleep I become a fan of the 20 minute nap as I get closer to 50 but I would say just of stretching and sleep and stay healthy it’s our job to show up at the theater and show as it is for the first time it shows a week for the audience that’s paid a lot of money to see us and so we need to be at our best so Reston sleep and for good food and do yoga and every day to get ready for the show because that is my mind and my body and I love to watch one of these golden Aaron movies per week just to keep my brain stimulated and stay on the lowest movies I still remember movie stars dress like you wouldn’t believe coming down the staircases remember those when movies were real I have now it’s a little different everything you shoot them up and it’s true it’s true there was such a elegance and the glamour in the stones and into grace that you don’t always see you and you don’t always see stories that are in probable that we love like a young girl gets off the bus in this thing and within a few hours she’s in a Broadway show highway safety that I think should happen to all of that is exactly what we like and didn’t you grow up with a dad who didn’t necessarily say don’t be an actor while he was banker for small bank in Western New York and she said John you pick the one industry I can help you I don’t know anyone so I can connect to anyone but but they were certainly very supportive friends and grew to become wonderful efficient autos and did he tell you always the one model you had a remember no matter what save your money save your money right mine was be a schoolteacher not to save your mother is a teacher you’ll never be out of work so did you listen to your dad well I have a I just bought a house upstate so I hope I hope I listen to them have a beautiful cottage of state and that apartment in the city and the little money in the bank is that you never know we’ll I’m so thrilled to be working in this industry and with amazing people like moron Randy Skinner Joan but you never know every our job ends when the show and send you do you assume you’re going to work again because usually do but she might cost so save your money and enjoy what can never ever take for granted working on Broadway every night I walk in the state shore and out of the state sure what I’m working on Broadway this is what I wanted to do and I’m doing it I’m appreciating you get nervous in between jobs only if it’s been like more than a month or so but no usually something comes up that it’s obviously something quite pleasant so anymore no what was so happy both of you came over today you want to feel happy you want to go take Dancing with honestly I left at the rest of our ballet it’s too late but I am definitely going to take Good and it’s never too late and you can have on the eighth walk down the street and fall on my face but I figured if tapping the best diet in town I appreciate your coming over to have a lovely holiday and we’ve got a lot of Broadway coming up to read right, and on your feet school of rock on it all in Charles III Broadway’s magic plan welcome to sardines everyone on I have been using it does today*the traffic weather Wall Street two mornings at 5 AM you’re just as they started to use our display video before I was morning live on 70 7W the same as I see John sure touched upon by the Republican debate however not to my satisfaction because the party is not been clear there is no generality works right now about how it intends to go for you to world are nice and I want you to for redeye your home since 77 and in the use of the line from the legendary studios of 70 7W ABC welcome to moving the Laura Smith 70 7W ABC welcome to living better with North net fishing that lets you connect with the experts in once a month here we have a grand expert in the house someone that is so dedicated to your feet well he made his life’s calling that Dr. Jeffrey Adler is the son of an acclaimed bariatric surgeon of a many years ago and often was the doctor of the Buffalo Bills and then now he himself is gone on to open up his practice in New York City and has been practicing for many many years also White Plains and he really is ahead of the game in terms of what is going on in in the world of podiatry and believe it or not there are people that are almost in the dark ages that are practicing you want to go to someone who is that the minimally invasive practices and the latest and greatest technologies to help you and Dr. Jeffrey Adler is that we are just so lucky were so blessed that he is right here in New York City and in White Plains I and people come from all over the world for his services for his practice so Dr. Jeffrey Adler welcome back to the show thanks so much more is really bad for sure yes never thought that I would enjoy talking about debt to teeth but you we do we do it once a month and I and I learned like every time we do because I will you note so much of our our life or joy are being able to do to walk through life it really depends on our feet and how were doing with them all I know is that when I put on a pair of high heels that don’t fit nothing else nothing else gets done I can’t think of anything else and it really is it can be so crippling the old old saw goes up when your feet hurt your hurdle over that’s actually true because of foot feet bear all the bodies ways the only part of the Bible does that so basically all if your feet are out of alignment you have problems all over we always talk about the were issues that we see a lot of people come in with all other problems and returns of the server before problems are also related to pain in the from the legs paying their knees paying their hips between the low back is sometimes your pain or shoulder is all comes from a misalignment of the feet and at the feet are misaligned on the new don’t take care of them first click for many many years and that people comment with problems with it said sheet of golfer knee surgery or golfer hip surgery to do some back surgery. What let’s evaluate your for the first many times we find that there’s some really severe problems in the fourth and when those good realigned many times most if not all the symptoms that they had no with her back in a manner similar maybe something just a little remember torn ligament resort cartilage problems really slip this or something like that in your back but the thing is if you don’t first take away the problems with the way your brain weight because the average American spends about 5 to 10,000 steps a day in the Fort New York got only knows Maria’s dark horse of this agreement and the thought of were talking about probably 23,000 steps a day if your feet are misaligned you multiply the overfull week over years and years and years and consumer goes on the feeder in New York and the thing is trying to fix a new problem before problems, like goat looking at your house there’s a problem with your foundation and basically we took a real underfoot is now three and half years pass the time hasn’t the pain is gone has new hip surgery yeah wow that’s huge and he really had a really had to talk about mitigating something that could be no surgery of any kind you want to try to avoid if you can end so that that that that the major mine because the surgery you want to surgery as a last resort but you do what you want to make sure this can work right and thing is is that is that we try to work as a team doctor to try to work with the team in terms of all for all your visitors it is an old joke about the bifurcation volume is the guy goes to way to a dentist and the is his point is tools and the guys walls and tools so the… Oh my Goddess is your moment that was probably your good luck because I wanted to do anything to your to your esophagus and throat to send you to the up Iser’s organic stores and take a look assuming that that the two are your earlier throat so he goes to the Europe on the guy next door. Authorities will note the tooth was in your esophagus and theand your stomach my crack is limited strictly to the eyes ears nose and throat so referring you to the internist of garbage to take a look at your stomachs where ghosts can enter a sportsman from a four for scope of services you get to there was a consumer was in your store knowledge passed into the small intestine most my practice was limited to this domicile basically were to send you to a gastroenterologist next door and his mother take a look and see if we can do something to get the to forgo the delicatessens for closely at the top just a neurologist can do a barium swallow takes a look at everything is as well the good news good news is that this not because they were the bad news is heading toward your toward the lower part of elementary Canal interrupted Johnson at the proctologist next door they can take care of itself goes because the extra charges over the place and the table pulled) but also takes the light your feet in not only the New York area and actually the world people come from all over the world for his services for his his surgeons his top rate minimally invasive and state-of-the-art studio that you have what you call them it gets really beautiful set up you have a very direct operatory laboratories and offices okay and so were grateful to have you here and your expertise helping people to figure out what’s going on with them so many people suffering and and now it’s getting into the dead the cold months people are so is shifting away from their their flip-flops and their their sandals and moving more into the hot boots and stuff like that let’s talk a little bit about out winter care for your feet and then also you told us about somebody famous and in the football league who is the suffering from one of the the big issues with feet as well and and what you can shed some light on that road will first of all winter months basically all you want to make sure that the feet are kept in a nice warm all boot make sure that the off go watch a lot of boots or why was called off for the people of God alone for Gallo for your the filters which is good, and right versus what I believe in and for all but basically what doesn’t do a great job absorbing sweats or as a pepper you get if you have a foot that is all a problem with circulation and it’s cold outside… What’s than profit really end up in some circulatory issues was for the ghost chill blame frostbite things like that to be very careful that’s all that to make sure that the heaviest working material you can use on stocks that are very helpful to put moisture way to express a lot of problem of cold feet in the winter other than when you’re exposed you’re really cold temperatures it did kind of shows a problem that may already be there is a loop of problems calling on syndrome and deliver this are a Y and a UDS that’s a problem with the blood vessels of the extremities being extremely’s all sensitive to changes in temperature so it’s your great in the summer and in the spring but in the fall the want to start having some issues music by the people who always owe my husband testing of my feet on the growth that the two lots of ice the sake I wear socks in bed all the time or don’t take into agenda drinking during the during the winter I can take the cold and that there may be an issue there and what with the stars because the blood vessels are so on are part of basically so sensitive to cold they shut down and when the shutdown diminishes the circulation to the toes and starts causing some issues with off the viability of pictures of us from one of the wonderful valuations of reducing beautiful noninvasive vascular person in the office all their present series of three of them but basically diagnose exactly where the issues are mostly fun issue on many times Gilbert’s ring on syndrome and one is for the school leader on syndrome can be basically all treated with a really nice minute for safe medication so that you can go in together prompting care with brutal side effects of the first to go to do is your diagnosis of just don’t don’t ignore this because the problem tends to get worse with time and especially if you’re a smoker good people who smoke cigarettes cigars on all your working with things like almost things that could take a sip of nicotine that they have a tendency to to shut down the circulation is estimated that the all that the blood vessels in the fingers and toes shut down for about three hours every time you smoke a cigarette really so it’s a very bad thing is actually a a disease called burger disease that men get the what will the girls were mandated the Ashley of the situation would be just because of smoking the start getting ulcerations on the tips of their clothes because they are the blood vessels properly closed movement usually ends up with a situation where a lot of times people make the amputations a real sad situation but if you’re if people are at this point your smoking is almost a character for you and all the health all your time and listen to the shoulder for annual above are doing better to swindle make you feel better but basically anything you can do to stop stop smoking in students that know if you want your heart but it just kill Jackson circulation to your extremities as well how know well make sense total sent and so tell us about that the football player who is dealing with planter fasciitis. I just saw it flows your football forever just so I guess in your Peyton Manning was the quarterback Denver Broncos probably two or three greatest quarterbacks ever play the game and is getting up in age and starting to play store to release the present some neck problems which is causing fusion winters in Indianapolis North Denver and headed all-time bedroom that you mention it up with something best yesterday on sent you Iraq that they broke the record for the most yards passing over for dinner for quarterback and it comes out today related story for Milford M Shafter from ESPN on your credit that mentions that the that Mr. Manning has a tort tear of the plantar fashion is been dealing with planter fasciitis plaintiff just to give you an apology or through talking about in the arch of your foot is the fuel reached on in our field will feel little bouncy areas also got trampling that’s was called the plantar fashion to ligament the current taxes the floor for the whole fourth is good for’s long and basically if you have an issue either through trauma or a problem with the way your brain when walking those we talked about the excessive donation which is which many athletes have it helps them on it helps them come off or do their job and was little people read the story about the my mind my dad was the to provide the bills for many years and one of his key patients 507 clear freshers was it was a real tooth username” at this point the number name O.J. Simpson to that was all the way back in the way back in the 70’s when OJ was still the top rush in the National Football League and she had in rickets as a child is up with extreme reflect for for NFL running back that’s great is not great for everybody else but you could do things he could make it caught almost waiting on the side of his ankle and get buy-in for one better defensive back so for him that that was perfect for his job is led to a lot of pain off the field and bring problems and in other ways of treating her back from the we do know but basically Mr. Manning supposedly paid head-to-head selling pain right along this year and eventually the plantar fashion poor for now dealing with a pair the plantar fashion which gives them no ability to plant his feet and thrown yesterday threw four interceptions for probably the first time in about 15 years in his career has been eliciting the best for nobody in Denver Denver lost with the mission to be and the salt one of the things I’m trying to work through what my cousin Xavier is working with Dragon try to work with you on super good guy that was because this is a situation that we see people with planter fasciitis and tears the plantar fresh all the time and 95% of the time you due to a dislocation the ball we were talking about before the commercial is Attila joints and basically on your this to try to get orthotics and rested there like that basically what we found is that there’s a wonderful procedure call Harper to talk about before she was still going to provide you virtually six and through through using the slow procedure of putting in the final step into the subtalar joint that would basically take your ballpark back in position over a period of time the plantar fashion would heal and it must feels the pain goes away and he might be able to continue as grim as all versions with their but basically it’s a ways and splinter freshers knowledge or trending topic on Twitter because of what’s going on and ends and you have a really that the plate here the teacher that teaches the other doctors how to use hyper cure which is which fixes plant karate and this is the was of the show no or one of our good friends Dr. Michael Graham was brought without me a couple times here was the inventor of the particular procedure where we will train with family doing same procedures and both my associate Dr. Ostrowski. A brilliant precursors were both master surgeons in my mind on the other foot cure important for my my operating room for both focused on some instructions with fried pictures so basically we we would meet with teachers and doctors right and will talk more about hyper cure back because it is changing so many people’s lives in a good way and including a could be Peyton Manning that Wheeler would not be wonderful with your little dad’s credentials with the Buffalo Bills and with all the success stories you’ve had with that I’m sure you’ll get to if I know you Dr. Adler my guess is Dr. Jeffrey Adler of Adler for care of greater New York you can reach him at one 800 foot dock that’s one 800 foot dock or go to his website my NYC podiatrist.com my NYC podiatrist.com he will help you figure out what’s been emailing you because he knows where to look first and foremost and that will hear more about how to hyper up there when we come back and his great facility and more from the great expert I’m getting better with Laura Smith once a month the doctor to get right back the way problems but don’t you want modern timeframe and putting it state-of-the-art techniques and technologies that are offered to you by Dr. Adler of Adler but there will get with the pain make sure that you function properly and don’t hurt yourself worst in the future call 646-982-1262 I would highly recommend Dr. Adler and is a matter fact have recommended him to several other members of my family and anyone else that needs a really good podiatrist that offers the best combination of high-tech treatments and therapies in the tri-state area it’s just been a really easy experience for more information call 646 92 12624 visit my NYC podiatrist.com I was very happy when I got to have a staff wonderful office is conveniently located in New York or White Plains store in order for the foot talks to listen to a call 64658212624 visit my NYC podiatrist.com now is the perfect time to replace that all the deficiencies in your basement put American-made energy Star certified Peerless more work. Anybody who’s out there here’s the on Harper character up basically you should make sure that you go to somebody who’s a master surgeon. This by the grimace and to all the nurses during implantation so and that song being on the website it’s up through the middle of your dog lined my feet.com outline my feet dock, pale ale AL IG in my feet.com you’ll building a list of master surgeons in your area all you want to make sure that they do the proper testing which involves all of using x-rays if they have CAT scans like we have a all device 104 in the New York area this time, pedicabs will pick up the pet cat this is a combined x-ray CAT scan a CAT scan is a reified correct this work of computerized axial tomography and what that means it’s able to slice up the bones and little slivers like Swiss cheese basement we could look inside the joint with high procurer doing what you doing with the inside of the joint just below the ankle if there’s any problems with bones being or having blockages or all college piñata position will know that right away. MRIs will do the same thing all you need to build to get a bone density argument be will to check for your walk then we can for your people who can who can do it audio plus checking your circulation which switches were very common test once they have that then you basically arm the way it should be done as the procedure should be done one for the time they all your music you mean you heal the wine and then you come back the first three weeks later okay to not both the same time and basically if you’re in a bandage for more than a week you’re going to the wrong person okay because basically this is a use it or lose it procedure and once the it’s basically all stunted goes into full soft-tissue the government but not recurring if you will want to know if their candidate immediately just to just restart up to the outsider fourth and just in front of the bump on the side of your ankle to your just behind with a local was the national current hole there just press on it if you feel some pain in the present with your nail present with a with a pattern of your finger to feel pain there is probably an impingement of the nerve that runs through the joint and the only way that her kitchen gets damaged and there is because the phone this locates to use their words with the basic doesn’t does a real good werewolf near it cause all kinds of other issues when the joint is out of alignment eventually end up with bunions will be bumps in the slide with our toes drop metatarsal arch pain the pain have been leased a lot of things in the high procurer itself will correct the number of those things like resemble small permit modern bunions 35 to 40% of those don’t need bunion surgery this go away with use of arbiter asking what what are some of the common symptoms of people who before they get hyper care done and they have planter fasciitis they so what are some of the things that happen to because some people may be walking around with this issue the hyper care actually fixed that they don’t know that that’s really what it is if your first step in the morning to go to bed is an absolute misery in your arch in your field you probably have planter fasciitis. It gets better as the day goes on and he gets miserable again at night that’s very common with the plantar fascia stretching and then and swallowing the plantar fascia in its notice is not a slug on the sub situation the district eventually apparently Peyton Manning stood with a terrorist the plantar fascia does repair itself a plantar fascia. Several scar tissue which is inherently weaker the player flushes with Costa becomes a caring and issuing that situations you know with the constant inflammation of area plus your cost rolling over for becomes like a rock rolling down the hill just keep no more more moss more surrounding the area so basically arm you’ll be up to some some people experience vague pains in the leg will be bunion pain still be shinsplints and the formally Gobi we need pains of obtains all your and some pages of the what is the awful pain in their ankles because it gets worse with time more and more parts get involved as you try to avoid any backdrop to try to stop walking in certain areas you like a euro parsing patients coming bending their knees will have to put complete when the fourth and it’s it’s it’s rough but again the fingers that were out there educating or trying to make should be the doctors out there understand the availability of the options for patients and not just talk about orthotic or physical therapy which helps you it’s not you can do that under treating the area if you have a dislocation of that subtalar joy would talk about that at least all types of things and it’s pretty simple to diagnose this it can diagnose yourself before or from the Sawyer for the for your uncle proportion that that hurts you to know the new mirror that Melissa’s authority that the end the session note that that’s you you may have a pensioner there are probably are a candidate to list and evaluate and see if arbiter would be something that would solve your problem absolutely is great to know Dr. Jeffrey Adler as my guest here I were talking about your feet and how to figure out whether or not your candidate for high procurer which is really changing lives of so maybe by now you had a great success Teresa man came all the way from Australia just to get hyper care for them by you and he was very pleased users, for people want to see him actually on my website on I didn’t see a testimonial with focus on video to a small force mode and see it and it’s actually touching this kiss was a gentleman who played Australian rules football very actively was a runner and you stop doing all these things and it really made his life miserable and he was talking about the kids was initially because one of one of my friends whose area all have a doctor that she had wine disease really superwide disease and basically why the disease was not getting better and one of the reasons that Lyme disease doesn’t get better soon find that there’s a lot of stress or pain the rest of the body keeps activating the virus out loud even after you’ve taken the the course of antibiotics to your firm tosses last resort because he had issues with his feet and the always open Dr. kiosk did the hyper current plantation into his up to subtalar joints and not only did this for problems go away but is not symptom-free with Lyme disease that I can’t promise that Brandon is in this instance we we report three has to go to Mars alternatives can the referring doctor is whether we can think of that because the stress and the pain went away that the the alternate the chartering of the wine disease can always dormant and you will over time this will usually people fed severe ones is to go back in this instance because because his feet under control and was pain there not having a problem and can is going through the discussion partway through starts crying make such a big difference in life but I see this all the time is of the that this procedure has been a game changer it’s been it’s been amazing I was like, here and talk about Singleton will think of a BS artist as it sounds too good to be true but it’s one of the in the right hands on the proper patient the results are almost 100% talking about your your feet and you know it sounds like Utah coffee for an hour and have it be interesting but it is because Dr. Adler is is really what he’s a pioneer because his father was also a pioneer and it’s just kind of the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and Dr. Jeffrey Adler is one of the really the world’s leading preeminent foot doctors and podiatric surgeons and his group is of also did the people in his crib I’ve met most of them and Dr. Michael Graham who he works with so closely with hyper care which is changing everybody and he’s hoping to get Peyton Manning to help him with his issue because he knows how to fix it I Dr. Adler lately I’ve been getting Charlie horses a lot in the middle of the night now does have anything to do with my feet or up for what does it usually starts in in the arch of my flight to toes cramp up also to the basically that comes from the overuse of the fourth also, can also come from a lack of certain minerals calcium work many times where she first comes on the house and in the weather’s been very odd in New York mid-November November still so ridiculously hot outside and Naomi Marbury 70 know most people convert their help their homes and apartments 6970 7172° and sometimes about undercover tickets for a thought you sweat this but sweating which is all minerals that you need and sometimes one of helping there is no cause cramping of the fourth and basically revealed as well to medication Dr. Quinn and Mr. some homeopathic stuff Wi-Fi really works over the years, quarter tank water via your gin and tonic yeah you could get enough tonic water to quinine the quinine quinine if you when you have that was just people do is the next light take a nice big 8 ounce glass of tonic water drinkable for rigorously push you to begin his consumption of sugar material in the event that you should get through the night without a cramping in many can do that the next light and the basically that uses a secure relationship it’s sometimes a biomechanical issue as far as those trying to all control the with your issues with before rolling towards the walls and overwork them many times just due to excessive sweating one of one of the ways that to some people get these graphs we won’t go away one of quick ways to do is go to hop over to the bathroom floor stand barefoot on the call for the same reason that will compel a meal he stop it really is so interesting I’ve heard that it’s because of dehydration they need to drink more water is there is truth to what the basically most of us should be drinking 8 to 10 glasses of liquid today most of us come nowhere close to the place I do that and what about someone told me was potassium and I need to eat a banana before I went to bed bananas bananas good but it’s up in our funds more calcium usually but if what you where do you get calcium in general milk no more products on eggs things like that you can get the point up to visit quinine seems to provide both potassium and calcium to follow I like I like doing my patients have been doing it for me in your and drink, quarter always come back to me and said that it hasn’t worked so that’s good to now and thank you for helping me diagnosing and then curing the on the air here but you know actually it is things like that you don’t realize that died in out there there’s people understand things like that cramps and in your legs what that circulation issues you know especially with the winter people where those like hot the stocks that are really constricting and things like that how do you help with circulation issues in people’s feet basically there is on your some really nice vascular person redoing the officer called noninvasive vascular post about the not nothing no pins and needles going at your feet is like an EKG before this refers one of them checked the circulation getting down to your ankle in comparison to the circulation with your arm and was greeted the comparison was: ABI or ankle brachial and is mainly compare the ankle top blood pressure to the garment should be should be greater in the fourth and in the arm because the fourth these flaws with my heart need to have higher pressure for the blood to drop off oxygen there and basically all the next test he was with is to check the circulation coming into the toes and basically we see an issue there than we do a follow-up test to determine if the problem is due to ringlets and it was to talk about which is a form of vasospasm or the blood vessel very sensitive to either nervousness or cold or projected due to blockage this was due to a blockage realtor for you out to a vascular person if you look at the people receiving have asserted the most time is not most times due to the ringlets and syndrome and is a really nice medication that we used on so it’s not homeopathic but it’s been used for 25. Very safely with the United States and basically it takes and all and makes the red blood cells very slippery to get through the will constrict the space leaves the village of the patients were old enough to remember when the McDonald’s was first around and basically at the time of the kids the battleship everything from the main warehouse in San Diego and noticed I have reflected the hamburgers were squashed flat disks you pick up the Bonneville wool prophetic pickle marinade the old joke I can’t take credit for the fact was a member committee the line was of this plan is a McDonald’s now has a home delivery service oh yes you are not home is that the hammer in the door so basically what we do is to consider the constrict the blood vessels the door and your red blood silver hamburger were slipping the hammer of the door to make it the medication makes it but flexible and I have been people on this medication 2530 is very safe and save them years and years of issues because if you have poor circulation to toes but were problems come up absolutely we had about three minutes left to the program Dr. Adler what would you like to leave us with today that we can think about things that we Might we might be doing that we shouldn’t be with our feet and and other help for people with with severe issues while this does two things on the number 1 feet shouldn’t hurt to know if they do think there’s something wrong is an old old statement this is your body talks you listen to what people need to listen to their body having four problems don’t be afraid all of your podiatry is a bad rap day and promised I love deserved not for us we try not to hurt people we are in the pain relief on the business not the pain causing business and the thing is that if you nor these problems they tend to get worse I see people all the time for the scene of the year before two years before you do something but there’s something to come in solely the joints are drawn the no circulation diminished and is nothing much you can do for his people submit for the pictures and that that’s a shame because people should be able to to what you four problems are easily treatable in most instances to go to the right person is basically you’re not you’re not sure about getting anywhere with your treatment than the book elsewhere after living again and again if you’re Mark Aguilar come see us cause I know many good doctors already do a lecture on the country a lot of excellent doctors would refer to absolutely and have Dr. Dr. Adler for people to reach out to Michael Graham again if they need to for whatever reason to find out more about hyper cure they go to align Michael I feel on my feet.com is a really excellent video there to see Dr. Graham who is the on the doppelgänger for Johnny Depp from all parts of the Caribbean the Ed that I never thought of it in and not that you’re not handsome as you are talking to the aspect he is he is movie star quality so if your feet hurt you might want to check out align my feet… I’d rather not have wonderful staff will thank you so much for for being here and for being so great I just want one until patient you do take most insurance is granted most insurances and for partial payment we try to work with people which will make it this is as easy to do as possible and if you have any questions call us up and we can evaluate your true 44, 1111 Dr. Adler you love is her whole team at Adler footcare of greater New York you can reach them by calling one 800 foot dock that’s one 800 foot dock DOC or that in my NYC podiatrist.com my NYC podiatrist.com’s office is on 45th St. between fifth and sixth and also in White Plains across from the Westchester Mall and thank you so much Dr. Adler’s reverie were always love having you on the face giving her a happy Thanksgiving and yes indeed
